The adrenal gland
provides the body with the capacity to respond

causes a release of cortisol, epinephrine, and
norepinephrine, facilitating physiologic change
in most tissues of the body. Epinephrine and
norepinephrine stimulate the heart, increase
blood pressure, constrict blood vessels to the
digestive tract, and raise blood sugar. These
physiological changes allow the body to perform,
adapt flexibly, go beyond normal limits, and
recover in a reasonable amount of time. Refined
carbohydrates, business travel, unproductive
meetings, financial concerns, and environmental
pollution can be just a few modern stress
factors that push the adrenal glands past the
ability to adapt. Constant adrenal stimulation
damages the body and produces stress-related
symptoms and diseases. Phytisone is a specially
formulated blend of tonifying botanicals,
adaptogens, and key nutrients designed to
provide nutritional support for the adrenals.
